Common questions

My times differ from my local masjid. Masjids follow a particular convention. Open Settings and pick the matching calculation method, then use Minute Adjustments for any remaining difference.

The Qibla compass does not move. The compass needs the device magnetometer. Check that Location Services are on for Mizab, and move away from metal or magnets. If the compass is unavailable the dial still shows the bearing from true North.

Asr looks an hour off. Asr depends on madhab. Standard uses a shadow equal to object length, Hanafi uses twice that. Switch in Settings.

Widgets are not updating. Widgets read the same data as the app. Open Mizab once after changing settings or location, and confirm the widget is on the home or lock screen you are looking at.

Notifications are not arriving. Check iOS Settings, Notifications, Mizab, and that the prayers you want are toggled on inside the app.

Privacy
